MDS RAEB II
Autor*: A. Kubíková
Description:
MDS is a clonal disorder of the hematopoiesis.
The pathological cell clone replaces the normal hematopoiesis.
The different type and degree of cytopenia in peripheral blood is accompanied by the finding of cell-rich bone marrow.
The dysplasia of bone marrow in all cell lines of bone marrow is present.
Subsequently the clone is evolving and more and more immature calls are seen in bone marrow and then also in peripheral blood. In RAEB II 10-19% of blasts are present in BM .
The type RAEB II is accosiated with high probability of shift to acute leukaemia.
In our case (boy, 14 years old) we can see blasts, high ferquency of Auer rods in blasts and dysplasia in granulocytopoiesis a megakaryopoiesis.

MDS RAEB II
Description: In the centre of the picture there is a dysplastic megakaryocyte with devided nucleus, maturation caryomere is seen on the left part of it's cytoplasm.
Above this megakaryocyte you can see a lymphoblast with condensed chromatin. At the right there is a hypergranular band form of neutrophil.

Description: In the middle of this picture you can see a blast with clear Auer rods (visible clear nucleoli).
On the left there is a large metamyelocyte.
In cells of myeloid lineage a dense hypergranulation is visible.
Type: bone marrow
Klíčová slova*: Auer rod, hypergranulation, giant metamyelocyte
MDS RAEB II
