Description:
24 year old 0 gravida referred by gynecologist for sterility. Trying time 2 years, andrologic factor of sterility - abnormal spermiogram of her partner with low count, 3% of motile and 90% of abnormal sperms. She has bronchial asthma and recurrent ovarian cysts, hormone profile suggests polycystic ovaries (Increased LH/FSH ratio). Long menstrual cycle 40 - 50 days. Ultrasound examination shows anteverted uterus of normal size, ovaries with large number of follicles with typical necklace sign. Laparoscopy with dye instillation was performed to diagnose a cause of primary sterility. Uterus of normal size, right ovary was slightly enlarged of pearl, smooth surface, left ovary of normal size. Both uterine tubes of normal size with no abnormalities, patent for the blue dye. Drilling of both polycystic ovaries was performed. Patient has combined andrologic and ovarian sterility factor.
