30 year old II.gravida I.para referred by gynecologist for a 6 weeks amenorrhoea and gestation sac in the uterine cavity. Menstrual cycle otherwise regular. Pregnancy test positive, S-hCG 640 IU/l...720 IU/l...760 IU/l. Bimanual pelvic examination shows that right adnexal region is tender to palpation, left side with no palpable abnormalities. Ultrasound examination: anteverted uterus of normal size, endometrium 8 mm, no gestation sac in the uterine cavity. Diagnostic laparoscopy was performed to exclude ectopic pregnancy. Uterus was of normal size, no free fluid in the pouch of Douglas, both ovaries of normal size and shape, left uterine tube with no abnormalities. Right uterine tube was livid, dilated with tubal pregnancy which was located in the ampullar part. Right salpingectomy was performed. Histology confirmed right tubal pregnancy.
